DecoratIve tattooing

DecoratiVe or more traditional tattooing was where my career began.

I wanted to tattoo ever since I was a teenager and at 24 I finally got a place as an apprentice and began my learning journey. It has been a wonderful experience to grow up and into this space as a tattooer and my work has changed a lot along the way. There were times when I thought I might quit and times when I thought I might only do one style and times when I haven’t been able to work for nearly a year and now I am in a time where I just simply love it all.

I love the people I get to work with and the shared energy of the tattoo experience. I have learned to embrace the variety of requests for different styles and concepts that I get asked for and if it is within my skill set and I think I can do a good job of something then I pretty much do any style of work. For me personally, tattooing is about holding space and sharing stories and I can’t wait to see how my experience as a tattooer will develop over the rest of my life.

Custom

I draw all of the tattoos I do for the individual client. I am more than happy for you to send me ideas and photos, but I do ask for some artistic freedom. I generally assume that if you have seen my work that you will trust me to put a bit of myself into your design and tattoo and that is when I really do my best. There is usually a wait between booking time and the appointment. In this time I ask that you inform me of any changes to your ideas, this happens all the time, and then much nearer the time I will draw your piece up for you. If I don’t feel that something is right or that I’m not a good fit for what you are looking for then I will of course be honest and sometimes I am able to recommend you to someone else.

Vegan

As a devout vegan and animal rights advocate ALL of my products are vegan friendly and I do my best where possible to be environmentally sound.

My business supports my local animal rescue, Coppershell Farm and I regularly hold fundraising events for them and other charities such as Sea Shepherd UK.

My veganism is incredibly important to me and therefore I ask you not to bring any animal products to your appointment with me.

Please don’t expect a lecture however! I understand that not everyone wants to have these conversations so I generally don’t bring it up, but will passionately talk for hours about it if my clients want to know more.

sacred

To me tattooing is something sacred. Something to be honoured and revered. It has a delicious history from all over the world and I believe that it is important to remember it’s roots and be grateful every day for this wonderful art for that has been handed down through generations.

I have created my studio space with this in mind. It is full of art that I love and trinkets I have collected over time. It is a piece of me and my favourite place to be. I hope that the love I have poured into this creation welcomes you and grants you soft passage through you time in the chair. I am always happy to allow space for emotional movement such as anxiety and grief and hopefully joy. I like to think of my studio as a safe space for everyone.
